Freedom Readers Comes in First Place for Cakes for a Cause Event!

Freedom Readers takes the cake – first prize winner for Best Cake! On November 2nd, 2019 Freedom Readers had the honor of participating in Cakes for a Cause fundraising event along with five other non-profit organizations that was held at Hook & Barrel/Croissants Bistro and Bakery in Myrtle Beach. Students from the Culinary Arts program at HGTC partnered with local non-profits to decorate cakes in a theme that represents their assigned non-profit partner’s mission.
